They didn’t notice but a sneaky little goblin fellow saw the group from a footbridge above the party and ahead down the tunnel. Some healing was doled out by Groater and then up the cavern they went. Finally, after a few vicious bite wounds, our group prevailed. There were four wolves and one took its toll on the Rogue and savaged his leg badly, dragging him down and submersing him, though just for a moment, in the fast flowing waters. Inside the cavern, up some low stairs into the first chamber on the right, our group of humble heroes faced down some goblin pets – wolves. Silverwind.Īmbush again! Two goblins opened up on the group from some cover – but they were quickly dealt with. At the last minute, things got changed up and everyone fell into line.
LOST CAVES OF PHANDELVER HOW TO
There was a disagreement as to exactly how to approach. Some walked straight across the clearing, others took a stealthy and more circuitous route. Cautiously the group approached from multiple directions. From the hill a clear swift water issued from a dark cavern. Miles later, five miles later, the group came to a clearing against the base of a large hill. There were two traps on the trail that the rogue narrowly avoided. Soon after, the group followed the path of the little flat-footed miscreants over hill and dale. After some discussion, the group stashed their oxen and cart of supplies and went in search of Groater’s cousin and his bodyguard. Bodies were piled and a few heads were skewered on pikes. These goblins were of a particularly fierce tribe known as the “Cragmaw Goblins” after their habit of crudely filing their teeth into jagged points.

They were Safeway donuts and Seven is the appropriate number for four Sons of Iowe on a given nerd night. Our group was hired to deliver some mining supplies for some greedy dwarves, cousins of the Dwarven Cleric, Groater.Īmbush!! On the caravan route to Phandalin (pronounced like Mandolin) some goblins had killed the mounts of Groater’s cousin and his body guard. Melee (another human fighter) and Nobo picked up the Halfling (Tiefling…blech…horrible name) Rogue. We decided it would be a good idea to bring along the Dwarven Cleric so the team ran that persona collectively. Some chose more aggressively than others. I purchased the Starter Set and our three players chose up characters. Silverwind.Īfter some rather glowing online reviews, we decided to give the newest resurrection of D&D a try.

Some shared themselves more generously than others. He hired out the food task and the four of us shared some Thai food. The only souls in attendance were Ned, Nobo, Silverwind, and myself.
LOST CAVES OF PHANDELVER FULL SIZE
I have archived the full size map for download in our discord located here.We were even shorter than our previous nerd-night-light session. I do not know who to credit yet, but the person who originally shared the file with me is someone named “Fee”. The file is downloadable from this direct discord link. I intend on recreating every map in the campaign. I will make revisions on this and improve it as I learn more about the map making process. And I decided to make the Ruins of Thundertree. I think it is a great take on the original Redbrand hideout. This is my second map ever created, but I am getting better at this. It is also one of my first maps ever created. After this I have the big big map, the Wave Echo Cave to do!! The file is downloadable from this direct discord link.Ĭragmaw hideout. This is the Cragmaw Castle, a Lost mine of Phandelver map for the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons. I am finally getting the hang of lighting and shadow, which makes a world of difference. What a monster of a map, with each tile also being ten feet (as the original was). And by far the biggest map of them all, while I think it came out fine there are some things I am unhappy with that I may wish to revise in the future. Then visit this page for the direct map links. That’s because we can share the images in HD via discord. In order to access the maps you only have to be a member of Discord which you can join here by this invite link. My initial goal is to create every map from Philander, and then perhaps some of the other campaigns.

LOST CAVES OF PHANDELVER ARCHIVE
I will do my best to archive them all, give credit when I can, and create mirrors as well. I mean I did, which is why I created this website. You may want more detailed maps for one of the most popular 5e campaigns.
